The Utmost in Women’s Healthcare

Dr. Newby deeply values the ability to educate patients about women’s health issues on a daily basis. When she sits down with patients, she wants them to feel comfortable, like they are talking to a good friend.

Dr. Newby has a large and loyal following because she genuinely listens to her patients’ concerns, and sincerely values their input. Dr. Newby and her patients become partners in health, as they work together on a treatment plan to get the best results. Most of Dr. Newby’s new patients come from referrals, which reinforce how happy her patients are with her care.

Many women are nervous about some aspects of their health when they enter the Ob/Gyn office, but Dr. Newby makes it her personal mission to help her patients leave educated and empowered. No matter your age or health priorities, Dr. Newby is passionate about giving you the utmost in women’s healthcare.

Education and Credentials

Dr. Newby completed her undergraduate degree at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, followed by her medical school degree at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Her residency was at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.

“I developed a passion for science while in college, and was interested in a career where I could help people,” Dr. Newby said. “Medicine was a natural field. It didn’t take long to realize that Ob/Gyn was the specialty for me. Being able to share in the joy of bringing a child into the world is every bit as thrilling now as it was back in medical school. I remind myself every day how privileged I am to be in this profession.”

Dr. Newby is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She is a proud member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Kansas City Gynecological Society, and the Kansas Medical Society.

Outside the Office

The achievement she is most proud of has been, and continues to be, balancing the demands of a busy medical practice with her young family. Sometimes being an Ob/Gyn means long and unpredictable hours to ensure patients are always well cared for. To make it all work, Dr. Newby surrounds herself with a fantastic support system.

“My husband and three young daughters are incredibly supportive,” Dr. Newby said. “Their love and encouragement help make me the best mom and physician I can be.”

Outside of work, she loves to travel, exercise and play the occasional round of golf. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her family.
